7 Halloween Facts for Kids! 1. Halloween-like celebrations may have started as early as 609 A.D. – 1400 years ago!! 2. The first Jack O’Lanterns were actually made from turnips. 3. Boston, Massachusetts, holds the record for the most Jack O’Lanterns lit at once: 30,128! 4. The largest pumpkin ever measured was grown by Norm Craven, who broke the world record in 1993 with a 836 lb. pumpkin! 5. Pumpkins also come in white, blue, and green. Awesome for making monster pumpkins! 6. Halloween is the 2nd biggest holiday after Christmas. 7. 50% of kids like to get chocolate candy for Halloween, 24% would like non-chocolate candy, and 10% would like gum. |

Every Friday is Popcorn Friday don’t forget to turn in your order forms by Thursday Students need to come to school in full dress code. The dress code policy is clearly stated in the Hanley Student Handbook. Dress code will be strictly enforced and students out of dress code will receive consequences. |
